Each character, old and young, grapples with the path they choose to follow.

Without giving spoilers, the story that's told is one where the older generation of ninja deal with protecting a world at peace, and the younger generation try to live up to their parents despite maturing in a very different environment. Some complain that Boruto doesn't embody the same spirit as Naruto, while others complain that it's too similar. I don't understand much of the other criticisms though. However, I understand the criticisms about the story. Some of the episodes drag on too long or focus on side-stories that aren't very interesting, but it all adds up in the end. The main story develops at a slow pace, but it does steadily develop and climax with beautifully animated battles and emotionally-touching interactions. New friends and familiar faces join Boruto as a new story begins in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.I'm 67 episodes into the series, and it rates a solid 7/10 for me so far. However, a sinister force brewing within the village may threaten Boruto's carefree life. Unfortunately, this has only worsened his arrogance and his desire to surpass Naruto which, along with his father's busy lifestyle, has strained their relationship. Despite having inherited Naruto's boisterous and stubborn demeanor, Boruto is considered a prodigy and is able to unleash his potential with the help of supportive friends and family. Under the watchful eye of Naruto and his old comrades, a new generation of shinobi has stepped up to learn the ways of the ninja.īoruto Uzumaki is often the center of attention as the son of the Seventh Hokage. Now resembling a modern metropolis, Konohagakure has changed, particularly the life of a shinobi. This is all due to the efforts of the Allied Shinobi Forces and the village's Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki. Following the successful end of the Fourth Shinobi World War, Konohagakure has been enjoying a period of peace, prosperity, and extraordinary technological advancement.
